Dr Raphael Perry

"I have wide experience of general and tertiary centre cardiology/cardiovascular disease.

My areas of sub-speciality at the regional centre are in ischaemic heart disease, coronary intervention, acute coronary/intensive care and echocardiography.

In addition to patient care I have experience in managing training grade doctors in clinical research.

I have been actively engaged in medico-legal work for more than 20 years and have had specific training in the same.

I am well versed in the production of a wide range of medical reports, tribunals and court appearances."

Medico-legal

Dr Perry has been involved in medico legal work since 1991 and currently completes between 30 and 40 cases per year.

His turnaround time from instruction to completion of a report, depending on the amount of documentation, is usually between 10 - 12 weeks.

He is willing to act as a single joint expert with his workload split 60% claimant, 20% defendant and 20% joint.

Dr Perry has undergone medico legal training courses with APIL and Bond Solon and has CPD points in expert evidence.

His charges for medico legal work, including consultation, document review and report writing are £200 per hour.

Court attendance is charged at £200 per hour or £1,000 per day and a prison visit is charged at £350.

I am registered with the NPIA (National Policing Improvement agency) and regularly work for IPCC (Independent Police Complaints Commission)
